A Shades of Melanin Affair Hosted by the Brothers of the Beta Omega Alumni Chapter of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. A celebration of legacy, love, and living color. This isn’t just a party — it’s an experience.
The Melanin Affair is where elegance meets ancestry, where turn-up meets tribute. We honor the bold legacy of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc., and invite the entire community — Greeks and non-Greeks alike — to celebrate Black brilliance, style, and soul.
What to Expect:
2-Hour Open Bar from 10:00 PM-12:00 AM — Come early and raise your glass in honor of the 12 Founders
Live DJ — Spinning the sounds that shaped us: soul, hip-hop, R&B, go-go, and everything in between

This is not your average night out.
The vibe? Formal Sinners meets Idlewild speakeasy. Think: Southern decadence, jazz club rebellion, 1920s opulence — all expressed through the rich spectrum of Black skin.
Draped in Melanin. Drenched in Meaning.
Silk, velvet, fedoras, feathered gowns, gold grillz, lace gloves, tailored suits, chokers, and suspenders.
Strictly no black.
Come dipped in honey, cocoa, bronze, espresso, pecan, terracotta, caramel, almond, and mahogany.
Gold accessories and green accents encouraged.
