The Nu Omega alumni chapter of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Incorporated is excited to announce the return of its
highly anticipated “Papas and Ponytails” event, taking place on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Warnersville Recreation Center, located at 601 Doak Street in Greensboro, NC. This community-focused initiative is dedicated to strengthening the bonds between fathers and the young girls in their lives through a unique and interactive experience centered on hair care and styling.
“Papas and Ponytails” is not just a fun event—it’s a vital part of the Nu Omega chapter’s Men’s Health Initiative, which emphasizes the mental, physical, emotional, and familial wellness of Black and Brown men. By teaching fathers the skills to style and manage their daughters’ hair, the event creates an opportunity for them to engage more deeply in their daughters’ lives, fostering stronger relationships and building lasting memories.
